Does anyone have photos or suggestions for proper install of front seats in relation to stock carpet.  I understand that the seats are supposed to be UNDER the carpet.  Mine are currently installed over the carpet.  Since I have them out for cleaning and under dash work I want to reinstall them correctly. This will install cutting perfectly good carpet so I do not want to make mistakes.   Thanks for your help.

I can't see the speedo cable hole in the firewall or the clips. Might be there but I can't see. And the shifter hole doesn't appear
torched.

Not much left usable on that car at all! Hard to believe how high its already been bid up to on eBay.

I downloaded the pics and looked at them on a big monitor in high res and if you look close you can see the Muncie speedo cable hole (with a grommet) and one clip in the photo that shows the front straight on...the second photo in the ad I think. The shifter hole looks pretty original on the forward, right and back sides but has definitely been cut on the left side like was often done with an aftermarket Hurst shifter. Again, a big monitor was needed to distinguish the edges and the differences.

Kinda interesting that it appears to be a 3sp with no console car.

Just curious....what makes you think it was a 3 speed?

1969 Muncie M20, Stamp P9B11A (1969 February 11 M20), VIN stamp N603025, 10 spline input (2 rings), 27 spline output, 3925660 main case (correct for 1968-1970), 3950306 side cover (1969), 3846429 tail housing (1964-1970 driver's side speedometer), 3950356 tag (1969 M20 for a Nova, Chevelle or Camaro with 302, 350 or 396 and 3.07 or 3.31 gear). No shifter or linkage. Trans is in good condition overall, all ears are in good shape, but one ear does have some type of hard putty on it (no evidence of a crack on the ear, however). Have not had the transmission in a running car, so do not know how it shifts. Pulled side cover off and looks good inside. Could be good as-is, but selling as a core. $350.

Maybe someone should talk to the Maryland Chevelle Club and see if they'll move their Annual Mid-Atlantic Chevelle Show & Swap Meet from North East Regional Park to Frederick too.

It's always the same weekend as the GM show at Carlisle and definitely had an effect on the turnout.....just a thought!

could you put the car in a paint booth and heated up like an oven and some fans...just thinking and not knowing if that that work

That might work. When I did mine I spent a few LONG days with a handheld propane torch heating and drying out all the seams. That was 5 years ago and no leaching or ill effects have appeared. If ya have the time and aren't afraid of what will come back from the dipper it's the only way to go.

You guys should all consider some sort of offsite backup with all the data and info you have that is probably irreplaceable.

All it takes is a burglar that wants the computer AND external drive or god forbid, a fire, and you've lost it all. I use Mozy myself (along with a batch file that automatically backs everything up to a folder on my web domain) but there are others that work well, are just as secure and are reasonably priced. Just a thought.

Jerry or Billy... is this the Wilmington DE show on the river? Do you have a link to some info on it? 

I've got the D&R system on both of my cars. It was easy to install and fit with no modifications other than having to open up one or two ends slightly to get the proper interference fit. It hangs well (tucks up nicely), looks good and sounds nice. Not too loud and not too quiet....just right as far as I'm concerned.
