Sorry, guys, my brain was out to lunch when I said my '68Z was a mid February car. It is an 03D and has Z/28 fender emblems. My problem is I am old and have too many Camaros built in the first three months of their respective years.

Having too many Camaro's doesn't sound like a problem to me ;)

The Z/28 emblems came along mid-February, 1968. I have an original '68 Z with a third week of February build date and it has Z/28 emblems.

Are you sure about this? My 68 Z was built the 4th week of February and it has the 302 emblems and not the Z/28 emblems. I believe Jerry MacNeish's 1967-1968 Definitive Camaro Book also states that the 302 Emblems were used through out the entire month of February and the Z/28 Emblems didn't make an appearance until the first week of March. Can someone verify exactly when the 68 z/28 emblems first came along?

Restoration / Re: 1968 Camaro Restoration

I spent 40K in 2 years to have my 68 Z28 rotisserie restored to showroom new. All of which was done in a professional restoration shop, I did nothing myself.

From the VIN is looks as if my 68 was built the first week of April. It doesn't have shoulder harnesses. It is my understanding that they were required starting in January 1968. Am I wrong?

Does anyone know when the shoulder harness was required? My 68 Z28 was built the 4th week of February and it looks like it has the original headliner but there are no shoulder belts. Were the shoulder harnesses required on all 68 camaro's after January 1968 or were they optional? I'm restoring my car right now and I need to know if I should put these on or not.
Thanks,
Mike
