General Discussion / Re: Car Life July 68 Z28 Road Test
February 20, 2018, 05:38:00 PM
That brings back a lot of memories.  I bought my used 302 Camaro Sport coupe in the spring of 1971.  Took me years to figure out why my car didn't have Z/28 emblems on the front fenders.  Culberson Stowers Chevy helped me fix that issue.  lol

Hard to believe all these years later I used this car for 4 years as a daily driver.

68 Lemans Blue White stripe Z/28.  Purchased it in 1971 for $1150.00   Drove it until 1974 when the first oil embargo hit and convinced myself that I couldn't afford .35cent gas.  Got $650 on trade for a 73 Vega GT.  What a bone head decision.

General Discussion / Re: Z10 on eBay
May 03, 2017, 10:44:35 PM
As the second owner of a Z10, I rarely have anyone that wants to know about my car, know anything about Z10's.  Yenko's, Z11's, COPO's get plenty of press but not Z10's.  Perhaps the values would go up if others outside the CRG new anything about them.   If rarity is your thing, not many other 69's can lay claim to being much rarer, more desirable absolutely.  So, if anyone has a 68 Z/28 Lemans Blue, white stripe, blue interior that wants to talk swap, I might listen.  lol

General Discussion / Re: Drive it or trailor it?

Not my Z10, but last October I bought a 79 Trans Am with 68k mile on an original drive train 1300 miles from Fargo, North Dakota to Midland, TX without a hick-up and with now wear on the car.   And what and adventure it was.  Drive, thought 150 miles isn't much of an adventure.  lol

General Discussion / 68 Z28 on eBay, help with originality
September 27, 2016, 11:10:43 PM
Ok forum, give me your opinion on the originality of this car. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Camaro-Z28-/322269907026?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4b08c88852:g:QHIAAOSw0UdXrhf3&item=322269907026I

I have a soft spot for 68 Blue Z28's.  I've asked the poster for more documentation and pics of the glove box sticker, cowl tag, and engine stamp.

Thanks,

General Discussion / Re: Rarest 69 Camaro ever?

I know this car.  It was once owned by a friend who lived in Big Spring, TX.  He purchased it from a friend from Oklahoma, and eventually sold it to the gentlemen in N.M.   I've got a few pics of this car sandwiched between his Z10 and mine.  I'll dig around and see if I can find it.  It was highly optioned and I think it's a great looking car.

No modifications with the AC/Delco PS34.  It didn't even come with handles.
