Update - there were more than the three RS bottle bracket holes in the area. Looks like someone previously added them and used this bracket for who knows what. I welded up the extra drilled holes (you could tell they weren't punched holes from the factory) and got the correct RS bottle bracket, so all is good. Thanks for the responses.

Original headliner bows from 1969 Camaro.

#1 bow (front) has a white paint ID on the left-hand end (drivers side) and has a unique shape.
#2 bow is identical in shape and ID to #1.
#3 bow has a blue paint ID on the left-hand end (drivers side) and has a unique shape.
#4 bow has no paint ID on the left-hand end (drivers side) and has a unique shape.

All four bows have a pink paint ID on the right-hand end (passenger side).

Need help identifying this bracket and it's function on the right side inner fender of a 1969 RS/SS that I'm restoring. It came on the car and it appears origninal. Thanks for taking a look.

Just curious if these firewall markings mean anything on a 69 Vanuys RS/SS 4-speed Lemans Blue coupe?

Agreed that the factory wouldn't/shouldn't have cut this hole with a torch, but there it is somehow. The factory used a torch to cutout the 4 speed transmission hole in the floorpan so maybe if a hole was missing they did this also? I guess I could weld it up and cut a hole the right way.

Figured it out. My passenger side inner fender has this same hole punched out. This driver's side hole was added at the factory with a torch for an unknown reason. It matches the passenger side hole location.

Restoring my 69 RS/SS and there is a hole in the lower rear of the driver's side inner fender that looks like it was cut with a torch (in red circle). Is this factory or not? It's the same size as the two punched holes above it. If factory, what was it used for? Thanks for your help on this.
