I'm doing the same as I write. Rebuilt 302 motor at .030 over. w/ Sig Eeson 30-30 Solid grind w Full roller 1.6 rockers.
I plan on geting cam off ramps via CRG checking/setting clearance procedure. When I did this Cold w original rockers (.026) it would check .030 when hot afterwards. Motor seemed to run better there all around. With new cam I'm going to start at .030 and see where the (Al) ones end up hot. If I need to adjust +/- i will an check again and adjust afterwards after I change to both spring and dampner spring after initial break in.
