Thanks Kevin.  I used that same product and got the same results.  I put a slight gloss on it when it dried.  Id post a pic if I could but, its close enough, i can live with it.

Thanks Jim but, I think I have the order of it. My car is an L48 Pace car also.  I really wanted to cinfirm that olive green tone to those select clips and, you have shown that.  I've tried searches to reference the colors of the L48 fuel line clips but, have found none until now
Thank you..

Originality / L48 fuel line clips
June 08, 2024, 06:58:24 PM
From my research, I think in part, due to Lloyds amazing restoration research and work, the Z28 302 fuel line clips have been covered but, for the L48 with Rochester carb duel line, frame rail clips, Im unsure about the colors.  Two of these clips can be seen underhood.  I've seen posts refering to green , black and even cad plating.  I've not seen any original underhood photos and, even if the're were, the lighting would need to be perfect to tell. Does anyone know the proper colors for these 2 underhood clips?

Originality / Stove assembly
June 05, 2024, 05:52:34 PM
Trying to learn what the factory finish was on the L48 automatic preheat stove assembly that wraps around the RH exhaust manifold.  Were they natural steel or painted?  The preheat tube was black but, I can't find info on the stove.

I would document all of the restoration work I did with photos if possible.

Really nice work on the steering column.  I didn't even know they had bearings in them. Is there any maintenance schedule for that?
