Thank you guys.
69Z28-RS:  I thank you for your suggestion, it is exceptional reading, but can be a little confusing when the parts are from vehicles other than Camaros. My enthusiasm for this car has not slowed down since I bought it.  It is now with me and I will still have it when I die.

bertfam: Thank you for all of this information.  I did check on several websites and I was not sure about the engine and the transmission, now I am sure.  This does not change my feelings for the car, just curiosity is satisfied.

I actually have a printed copy of the advertisment when it was on Ebay.

I would like to say thank you very much to the Camaros Org society as I have posted 2 posts and have received replies within hours.  The community on this site is outstanding with the knowledge and information.

Decoding/Numbers / Decoding Numbers for 1968 Vert
July 26, 2021, 02:38:06 AM
I purchased my 68 Convertible 10 years ago.  When I got it I knew it was not a numbers matching car.  As the years have passed I have become more interested as to where the parts originated that make up my car.  If it is not too much trouble could someone help me with some information?

White convertible with Black power top and Red interior.

Originality / Console Gauge Colour
July 21, 2021, 10:37:12 PM
This is my first post. I hope it is in the right place.
I have a new RPO Gauge housing (black plastic) which I wish to install into my 68 Camaro Convertible.
Is this painted the same colour as the console or is it left as is or painted black.
My interior is red as is the console.
Installation/wiring questions to come later.
Any help here would be much appreciated.
