I have always been told that the first 1968 Z28 was a red RS with a white vinyl top, white stripes and white deluxe interior. The car was originally owned by the wife of the owner of Berger Chevrolet in Michigan. It has every imaginable option including power windows, headers and cowl plenum. The car is commonly referred to as the "Christmas Z28", because of the color combination.
The car is now part of the Jim Stubbings collection.

I know the car and the stamp, both are good!

I am also surprised they were not listed in the 1968 Z28 brochure. They are listened in the GM parts book under absorber.

Factory installed spoilers were painted on the car, that is why there would not be stripes under the spoiler. Cars with a delete stripe option would have special paint. Special paint would noted as a - - on the firewall trim tag.

I have an original paint stripe delete Z28.

Semi gloss black paint and machined after they were painted.

My friend just located a 1968 Z28 long block 18N445313 VO529MO. It would be great to reunite the engine with the car.
