Thanks guys. I plan on working  over the 4th of July. Ill try fuel pump first and go from there.

 Engine used to start after sitting a few weeks with normal cranking time. Yesterday would not fire, finally put a little gas down the carb and fired up. Ran the car down the road and let it sit for a few hours and started up normal. Is this a gasket problem or carb?

To be clear I was meaning pillar pad moldings

My original blue post pillars have several large splits. Is there something to fill the gaps or glue that will work on the old pillars.

For a December 1968 built starter is the correct letter M or L for the month of December. I have seen both mine shows M.
