Here is a pic of a modified trim tag from a car for sale on ebay.

The seller is disclosing that it is a replica so I am submitting it for future reference if it is ever for sale again.
Well done to the seller.
What a nice looking car and cool color combo, he should have just left the old TT and changed the color to what he wanted.
No doubt it is a beautiful car and color combination. It is the ZL-1 on the trim tag that caught my attention.
Since you can't search for numbers printed on pictures:
Trim tag is body number VN254299

There must be a new breed of buyers who may find re-stamped (and possibly re-tagged) acceptable. That's cool if that makes them happy and I personally have no gripes with that if it was disclosed up front in earnest. Reading this link below makes it sound more like reality.

If you are not going to try to deceive someone why fool with restamping anything? Seems you're defeating the purpose. I mean what good comes out of restamp if you tell everybody it's fake? Seems like throwing good money after bad.
Discussed here.
