Title: 68 rear mounted antenna

Is the rear  antenna mounted straight up or is it on an angle perpendicular to the fender?

 Like Joe said, straight. Viewing from the rear it should have an ever so slight lean inwards (4 degrees per the manual).
This is where the correct base is a must to get ththe right pitch.
