Hello, I'm looking to pick up a 1111488 distributor for a numbers matching car that we are going to add a little more detailing to and get a few incorrect parts repalced with the correct stuff. I'm just curious if this looks like a legit stamping since it seems like there are more and more restamps out there. The part number seems good, but the date I was most curious about. It looks like its a diffenert font and the 8 looks like it is upside down too. I guess I suppsoe that the part numbers are stamped on ahead of time and the dates are applied later so I can see how there is probably a differnt font ,but I just wanted to check and see what you guys though before I spent any money on it. I was also going to ask what something like this is worth? It is suppose to be in working order and just needs to be detailed/cleaned up and tuned once dropped in the car. I'd apprecaite any input that you all might have. Thanks.
Here's one for comparison...

The "eights" are also different in the part number vs. the date code. It just sold for $33.00
Here's another for sale now...

Looks good to me. All the original machine lines are there like nothing has polished or ground off other numbers.
There are some indicators that dist. has original fonts on the numbers, but I'm no expert.
Looks legit to me.
Jerry M restored my original 1111480 recently and here is a pic before restoration.

The 8 on the part number and the 8 on the date also don't match.
