I have a 67 rs/ss paint code F-2 (marina blue w/ black bumblebee) and a 797 interior code( deluxe parchment). I have never seen this color combo before. Any comments would be MUCH appreciated
Does your car have any remnants of the original paint/ stripe?
The Hawaiian Ralley Green DANA 68 RS/SS 350 car had Black Roof with White SS Stripe if memory serves...
Yes, after getting thru the ugly maroon repaint there was a dark green metallic, under that was the original marina blue and a black bumblebee. The vinyl top had been removed, but under the trim(which was left thank goodness) was the remains of the black vinyl that had been left underneath. Factory a/c was gone and the hole in the firewall had been covered with sheetmetal and riveted. I've drawn it out, and the blue/black/white combo looks stunning. Would something like this more than likely been special order?
Not a very common color combo. A buddy of mine also owns a 67 RS/SS the same colors!
Who knows how it was ordered. The dealership may have ordered it for the showroom or a customer may have ordered it.
Kurt
Wow, thanks guys. I'm sticking w/ the info on the tag, its sure to be done someday! Also, this may be for a different forum, bur underneath " dd" on the vin, there's a "037". Can I take this as "delivery date march 1967"? Cowl tag is 02B
Kurt, you have any pics of your buddys car, man id love to see it.
BTW Blue with Parchment is GREAT... but then again I have a 68 HO 4spd GTO code DD(Grotto Blue) over Parchment. ;) Guts...
Wow, like the 68s, that's gonna B tuff.
The car hasn't been on the road for a while now. I'll have to ask if he has a pic - it does have a 765 black interior in it now.
