Title: 69 Valve cover part numbers
Post by: L78 steve on July 04, 2011, 10:22:20 AM
What are the part numbers for the LH and RH finned alum. non dripper 69 V/C's ? Were both cast as RH and only one knocked out?
I'm looking at a set and both are RH covers.

Yep...original '69 Z28's came w/o drippers on the inside. Drippers added in '70. I believe both sides had knockouts.

Part Numbers;
Right - 3965542
Left   - 3990994

Casting Number
3932418

Do both sides share the same casting number 393418 and RH designation?

Yes, the casting should be the same. They become RH and LH when the knockouts are removed. And at that point a new part no.
