Looking for any information that can assist me with the decoding and gathering of information on this camaro. Was told 68 SS but how do I tell

Thanks for the reply. This car was bought as a project with no motor or tranny so I am limitied with what I have to look at. I will look at the trans crossmember to see if this helps. Heater box shows BB plumbing but who knows. I'll keep looking and asking. I have wanted a 1st gen camaro since I was 10 years old and refuse to let this one go anywhere until I rebuild it for my daughter adn me (of course).
