Title: 1969 Camaro Z28 Trunk and Jack Question
Post by: Dempsey on February 06, 2011, 10:14:38 AM
Hey,

Needing a little help.  My research has came up empty handed.  I have a '69 Z28 built 12C 1968.

First Question:
What jack code should I have?  Do I buy a '68 Jack or a '69?

Second Question:
My car has 712 interior (deluxe)
What should my trunk look like?  Should I have a mat and spare cover?  I've heard conflicting points.

Thanks,
Nick

the jack date code needs to be before the production date of the car(Duh!) K8 would be perfect, could even be L8. alot of jacks were not date coded, even easier. the spare tire covers did not come from the factory, and i believe that the trunk rubber mat would have come with the deluxe interior.

Cool.  Thanks!  I didn't know that jacks were date coded.  I made the assumption they changed jacks from '68 to '69 but I was wrong.  Now I can go lookin'.

I like the mat. Glad the car came with it.

The rivet through the sliding support on the jack was dated on most jacks.
