Title: Gas mileage 6 cyl

What are you guys getting for gas mileage with the various 6 cyl engines w/ and wo auto trans.

230 cu. in. L6, 3 speed manual, 3.08 differential - 25 mpg at 60 mph.

Not a 6 cylinder but my 327/210 PG with 3.08's gets 19 mpg on the interstate.

I have a 69 350/2bbl carb. with automatic - get 19 mpg on interstate.

'68 Convertible - 250 / Saginaw 3-speed / 3.55:1 gears. Best so far is 19 around town, 22 on highway running 65.

These MPG are great, Been a LONG time since I had my 67 (230c/I) sixer' they sound correct.
Sold mine in 1984.  Economy with style.

Had a 67 convertible, stock 250ci with powerglide and it got the same as my 68's 327 thats pumped up a little. around 12-14 mpg around town on a good day. One of the reasons the car was sold.

250 3 speed manual vary well tuned to all original specs 23 mpg consistently.
