Title: Anyone have this 68 Camaro in their Database?
Post by: exracer29 on January 05, 2011, 11:44:37 AM
Hi all. New member from Team Camaro. I have a 68 Camaro that did not come with the cowl tag. Vin decodes to V8 Van Nuys car, and per the tunnel, looks to have been an original manual trans car. I am just trying to find what it may have started life as. Purchased as a rolling shell- all the original stuff is long gone including the engine/trans/rear end.

Here is the VIN:
124378L326030

Thanks in advance for any help.
Dean

Sorry Dean. It's not in the database, but from the VIN the car was built in the mid January, 1968 time frame.

Ed,
Well, thats pretty cool. I was born in mid Feb 1968. Not in California though... Would be pretty neat to have a car that was built on the same day you were born.

Thanks for the reply. I will see if I can trce some ownership history and go that route.
