I have your M22 case.  Assembly date is P9A24C.  I know that is quite a difference in date from transmission assembly to vehicle assembly but stamp appears genuine.

Interestingly I searched that VIN this morning and found this.

M22 was only available in Z28s, L78s and COPO 427 cars. I figured it was from a Z28.

This one is an X33D80.
