Title: 68 Emission Decal
Post by: Oregonjam on July 05, 2010, 09:10:34 PM
I had a partial emission decal with no part number readable on my 1968 SS 350 non A.I.R. with AC. I am having a difficult time finding the correct replecament.
Unless I have read it wrong, the Part # listed in the 68 AIM is 3927740 Would this be for a 68 350?
I ordered a replacement based on application and received a poor quality replacement with Part #3927738
I ordered again from a different seller by application and got Part # 3932352

Can anyone tell me if one of these would be correct if there is a seller that has a correct replacement or one that you can order by GM part # for a replacement?

Thanks for any help,
John

Nope. 3927740 is a "chart" that shows all the part numbers of all the emission labels for all '68 Camaro engine applications, not a label. It's probably printed in one of the "Chevrolet Service News" publications that went to the dealers.

Is your car an automatic? The 38 would be right.
Try Classic Muscle at www.oldmusclecars.com
Their decals generally are as good as you can get.
Can you see a B beside the bowtie on the old decal?

I found this guy who is doing decals... i have not yet ordered anything but looked at his work and he is good... here is what he wrote to me.

I have been doing some specialized decals for 69 Chevelles for a lot of years. During the past year I have expanded this to include some 69 Camaro stuff due to popular demand. I mainly concentrate on items that are not reproduced or items that are reproduced but are not correct. Go to my website and once on the main page click on the link for "Detail Decals".

Let me know if I can help.
