Title: 68 Z shift boot
Post by: 68Zproject on May 23, 2010, 01:24:10 PM
Does anyone know what would be the most accurate reproduction shift boot for a 4 speed without console?  Or if there are any sources for originals?

No one ever replaced a shift boot?

oldmusclecars.com   has them listed in their catalog.  I have a console and don't know about this particular part but all the parts I have gotten from these folks are pretty good. Lots of it is NOS. Ask for Bill he's a good guy.

Bought the one for my car from Craig at Camaro Specialties in East Aurora NY.

Seems like the repro guys all have it.  Not sure how correct they are...  I was waiting to see how people responded, first.

Thanks.  I have purchased stuff from classic muscle and have been pleased.  I'd like to get a GM one if possible, but I never see them.

They have a GM one listed for the console setup.....for the no console option all they show are reproductions.

Unfortunately, I have a non-console car.  It has a console in it, but through lots of Det. work, I have decided it was not original and I'm returning things back to non-console.
