Title: DZ Distributor
Post by: montgomg on April 05, 2010, 09:25:28 PM
How difficult is it to come up with a 532 CCW advance cam for the 1111480 distributor? What other GM distributors was this long slot advance cam used in?  Thanks.

I think the 1111482 dist had that cam, and there's another that does too.  You do not need that cam to make the dist work correctly.  It's actually better with a shorter slot as shortening the curve is where the engines are really happy and run better.  Especially the 302.  I have special over size advance bushings that I use in my dist rebuilds to make the curve shorter with stock 532 and 732 cams.
