Have owned a Carolina Blue 1969 RS for 2 years. Getting ready to start body restoration. Factory color was this blue, with all indications along inside of door, hood edge, etc. Has - - color code on cowl tag. Hard pressed to go back this color. Any opinions/comments are appreciated. (Also has factory air, dark blue bucket seats with molded armrest door panels.)
It's rare paint. It is worth more with the correct color. Why not paint it Caroline Blue?
You can change it to LeMans blue or ? but lots of Camaro junkies will want to burn you at the stake. ;)

Yeah, dont change it. Keep it original
I'd stick with the original color. I mean, how many did they make that color?
I had a friend with a Carolina Blue RS/SS and I thought it was a great looking car. I probably have photo or two of it around here somewhere. PM me and I'll email you some.
Keep it original, very cool!

Thanks for all the comments, guys. I'm sure that all you Camaro experts can help me with my restoration journey. But with 2 kids currently in college, my funding is low at the moment.
My 2 cents worth, keep it original. I was tempted many years ago to change my Butternut Yellow '69 RS to a cool (at the time) Candy Apple Green. Sure glad I didn't!!
Hi. I also have a 69 butternut SS convertible and the color grows on you as you sit endlessly staring at this beautiful piece of history. I also just P/U a 69 RS SS dover white coupe that when finished it will stay with its original color. So I say keep it the original color and enjoy the hell out of it.
