Footnotes say work with powersteering, but that apparantly is a crock.
Does anyone have these on their car without having to have dented anything?
if you did have to "massage" them... where?
Only place I seem to remember having to do this was the pitman arm...
anyone??
not sure about 2131's, but 2451's work real well with power steering
I've been using the 2131 Super Comps since '84 and never had an issue. Never dented or "massaged" a tube or anything. I only wish they made them in stainless. Not happy with ceramic. Larry
thats what i thought... but apparantly, their tooling and/or quality has gotten sloppy.
I had installed the 2131 on a Powersteering car in 2000, and aside from them hitting the pitman arm (which ultimately fixed itself) they were perfect...
the ones I have now (and as others have said) hit the steering box in 3-4 places, and one set i've seen recently, had to be dented like crazy at the rag joint.
I got a pair from Holley Directly as "Scratch and Dents" - apparently the last guy gave up... yet he must have been very careful as I coudl't find any scratches in the ceramic anywhere...
So my only option is to put the manual steering back o the car (which i'm actually considering as I don't mind the muscle required - and the freed up HP LOL)
i'm curious to know if anyone else has them on a Powersteering Car without issue>?
Thanks

Headman Hussler makes a header that fits like a glove and will work with angle plug Dart heads. You will not go wrong with the Headman Hussler headers, but open up your wallet cause they are not cheap.
I just added Power steering on the black survivor and had to massage the Hookers liberally.
