Title: oil pan removal

Will the pan drop out with engine still in car?  1969 with a 302

Look on page 6-19 in the Chassis Service Manual.

Thanks.  I have the Chiltons manual and could not find it.  I will have to get the book you are referring to.

You can drop the lead pipes and clutch linkage, take out the engine mount bolts, take off the distributor cap, radiator hoses, the fan and shroud, then pick the front of the engine up with a chain hoist or a cherry picker. It will raise high enough to clear the crossmember at the front and let the pan drop out. Good luck!

Thanks.  It almost sounds like removal would be easier.
