i was told i have a 1969 302 engine here are the cast numbers front of block t41520936 kol 29 tmp
back top of block 3970010-12
T41530936 appears to be the VIN and K0129TMP appears to be the engine suffix, and if this is the case, then no, you don't have a 1969 302 engine. You have a 1974 Truck engine assembled at the McKinnon engine plant in Canada. However, you might want to double check the TMP. I can't find that suffix code. Are you sure it's not TMB? That's a 1974 350/160 from a forward cab.

ok thanks and what about the number on the back of block it sais it is a 302 can you explain that please
Why don't you post a picture of the numbers so we can see what you're talking about. You need to do a lot more research
on reading block numbers. Click on the red CRG box in the upper right corner and read the headers above it.

If you mean the casting number (3970010), then that doesn't necessarily indicate a 302 either. That block casting was used from 1969 through the late 70's for a number of Chevrolet engines.
Like John recommended, if you can post a few pictures we might be able to give you more info.

The 010 block was made in the millions throughout the 70's.
