Title: Correct Carb #'s for '68 396/350 4sp?
Post by: KevinK on March 12, 2006, 01:13:02 PM
Would "7028217" be the correct numbered  (Rochester Quadrajet) for a '68 Camaro 396/350hp 4sp?

...and would the number be different with or without A.I.R.? (and would it be correct with, ...or without A.I.R.?) (in other words, ...What was the criteria for a car being built with or without the A.I.R. system?)

  Thanks,
                Kevin

According to Colvin, 7028217 would be the correct carb.  I think the only criteria for A.I.R. was auto or manual transmission.  Probably some exception for California, but I'm not sure.  Carb selection does not seem to be affected in this instance.  Dave
