I have a 69 Convertible.  I do not have rear speakers as I doubt they would help much.  99% of my driving is with the top down, and with the top down the rear speakers are muffled by the top folds.  However, I have installed the front kick panel speakers with factory speaker plates and the dual speakers that replace the single front dash speaker.  It's not a bass thumpin hard rockin setup, but it does provide a decent sound and looks completely factory and I did not have to chop the car up to do it.  I also used Infinity 462.5cfp 4"x6" Kappa speakers that have a very nice sound.  Here is what I used.

Ricks Camaros SPK-100, SPK-200, SPK-300 or SPK-400, depending if you have an AC or heater car and the performance level you want.

Hope this helps.
