My buddy just bought a 69 camaro that appears to have been someone's donor car. After looking it over I believe it to be a big block car based on heater core location in firewall. Vin is : 124379n543484
Cowl: 12437 NOR 184263
69
711 72 B
11C
It is an automatic with console, but almost everything has been gutted. Super solid floors and trunk with minor accident damage to one rear quarter.
Can anyone tell me what this car should have come with, i.e. 12 bolt, disc brakes, etc?
Thanks
Multileafs, 12 bolt, discs, check and see how many fuel lines there are...
single 3/8 fuel line
does it have to be an "ss" because it's a big block or could it be a base car?
Yes being that it is a pre X code car it would have to be an SS to be a BB.

That could be a little misleading, if it were a post X code car it would have to be an SS to be a BB as well.

No, you are wrong there, it could be a COPO and be a BB and not be a SS. However COPO's were not produced until after X codes apeared on Cowl Tags.
Good point, I wasn't thinking about COPO cars.
