Title: 68 shoulder belts
Post by: 68Zproject on March 25, 2008, 12:37:11 PM
Just read the new report on seat belts, great job Kurt.  Just wondered if there was a bracket for the shoulder belt buckles to go into if you didn't have the console on a 68?  Would they just lie on the tunnel loose?  Thanks.

I have the console in my 68 and I use the two available built-in clips for the front belt buckles.  For the shoulder buckles I extend them out to almost the end of travel and neatly lay them in the back seat when not in use.

I just wondered if there was some clip for [/u]non-console[/u] cars to put the buckles into, or if they just laid on the tunnel?

Yup, no storage place to put the belts on non-console cars.

OK. thanks Kurt.   I guess that kind of makes a mess.  Where there some clips on 67's?  Or was that just on the sides of the console?

On my 67, there are the holders for the shoulder belts on the rear inner panel and I have one clip on each side of my console. 05D car.

I did read that once, but since I don't have a 67, I got a few cobwebs on the details.
