Title: 1968 396 brake question
Post by: brookiez28 on February 28, 2008, 11:10:03 PM
Can someome please tell me if front disc brakes were mandatory or an option on a 1968 396/375 hp SS Camaro? Also, since the trim tag does not validate this car, what other built-in vehicle features would verify that the car is an original big block car?
Thank you!

Disc brakes were an option on all '68 Camaros except the Z/28.  On the '68 Z/28 power assisted front disc brakes were mandatory.     :)

68's are one of the hardest to verify with out paperwork because the TT don't tell you anything.
