Hi, I own a 1967  camaro base model with a 12 bolt posi 273!!! It has the bracket for a traction bar, no bar.   I've heard several tales on these rears, built for Z/28 road racers, left over, etccc.  My car was built in May.  Any Info or proof?? on rear??   Mikey

Yes, it could possibly be original to your car. Believe it or not, there have even been a few 6 cylinders with factory installed 12-bolts. All seem to be with the 2.73 or 2.56 axle ratio.

My 67 6 cylinder Powerglide car has a 12 bolt posi with 2.73 gears. No traction bar bracket.

what does your trim tag on the firewall have as far as numbers.can you post them.

Ron I'm not sure if you're asking me or Mikey but Kurt & Bertfam have all of my info. If you need it I'll have to get back to you as soon as I shovel a path to my garage...
