Title: New web site - ticket-cam.info
Post by: tom on February 01, 2008, 03:03:15 PM
Just registered a new domain, http://TICKET-CAM.INFO. not sure how I'm going to do it yet, but plan is to make location of fixed traffic cams available. NJ just legalized red light ticket cams, we can not be the only ones. If you know of the locations of fixed traffic cameras, let me know. Will only be hand updated at first, hopefully the process will be popular enough it will need to be automated. Plan would also be to update GPS systems with locations.

To make the locations of automated ticket camera systems available. If you have received a ticket in the mail from one these cameras e-mail a copy to tickets@ticket-cam.info. I will make the location of that camera available. Some GPS systems can upload the info, and warn drivers when they are in the area. I hope to start posting locations, and selling GPS units.

I understand the reason you are doing this, but I would still like to know why.   ???

The reason, is to sell GPS systems and make a some money.

WHY? Because I would like to know when I am being watched, and I could use more money.

A May, 2007 court ruling shut down Charlotte, NC's red light and speeding cameras because the proceeds from the tickets did not go to the schools as promised.  Looks like they are not coming back any time soon.  Just this past week the Charlotte TV stations ran a story about the cameras nationwide.

BTW, a while back there was a man from Chicago who was sent a ticket via a camera in Raleigh, NC, and he has proof that he was in Florida at the time.  (Turns out the guilty vehicle was a rental.)  There was a legal case in Canada over one of the companies that provides municipalities with the camera service.
