Title: '68 Camaro
Post by: kinks45 on December 14, 2007, 01:20:38 PM
I'm building a '68 Camaro SS 396/375HP 4-speed convertible.  All the numbers check out except the motor shows to be a '69.  The numbers show T1023JO and 3955272.  I'm supposed to be the 3rd owner... is it possible that motor could be the original one?  Thank you, Larry

Welcome Larry -

The answer to your question is no.  The "JO" engine suffix code was never used for first generation Camaro engines.

Kurt -

Could you please move this thread to "Decoding/Numbers"?  Thanks in advance.   :)
