Title: Numbers on cross member
Post by: fireZ on November 21, 2007, 09:56:33 AM
I have started the teardown of my 68 Z and after some light cleaning I found the same # in 2 areas of my car. First on the trans cross member and also underneith the dash by the gas pedal but higher. The numbers are 27-355. They are very hard to see but are the same. Now the car is a LA car and it was a 02E car with a S355 stamping also on the Trim Tag in the top right corner. any thoughts? Thanks for any help.

I never thought of that. Should i leave them alone or take pics and redo when I retore the car? Happy Thanksgiving to all the guys south of the Canadian border that are so much help on this site.

If the car will be maintained as a "survivor", I'd leave them alone; if it's a full restoration, I'd re-do them exactly as you see them - in either case, photograph them.
