Does anyone know if this fuel pump is correct for my 11D 1968 build 350/300 with A/T ?
also is the "48K" part of the stamp on it the date code ? would it be Sept. 1968 ? (Delco skipped the "I" correct ? )
Thanks,
Billy
Billy, for your 350 I believe you would be looking for part number 6416886 type 40524.
Steve
This page from the 1972 Chevy P & A book shows either part # 6470422 type 40725 or part # 6470423 type 40726
I'm not sure exactly how to read it.
Anyone know if it will fit and work ?
Thanks Again
Billy
6416886 was original part number and was substituted by 6470422 in October of 71.

You have one of these: http://198.208.187.182/internet/PartImage.jsp?mfgname=&prodlinecd=&acpartnbr=40987

My book and Billys reference above show:
The 69 CAMARO L48 350/300hp takes the 40726 pump which is GM part number 6470779
My big question is does anyone know if the 40725 pump will fit and work on my 350/300 auto '69 car ?
It looks better than the aftermarket replacement one I have on now, with the correct AC logo and finish.
Thanks for any help.
Billy
My interchange book shows 40725 & 40524 for 67 & 68: 302, 327, & 350
For 69 it shows 40669 for 302, 350, & 327

Thanks Paul.
You wouldn't happen to know what the application fits? I hoped to put it on my 69 350. The vendor assured me that it was correct and I just naturally... um ..er... trusted his expertise. sigh.
