I have a 69 with a tweeked 350. Nothing major but the mods require a 2400 stall converter. The Converter and trans kit comes from B&M. They suggest a trans cooler. Should I be running the cooler through the radiator tank and into the aux cooler or skip the radiator? ???

For my 2 cents, if you use a big enough cooler, you can skip the plumbing to the radiator--it only complicates the installation and the engine will run a tad cooler without the transmission fluid flowing through the radiator tank. I have a 3500 converter in my '68, which is very loose and creates a lot of heat. I used a heavy-duty 7-tube aftermarket RV cooler and it works fine on my car. But by all means, use an auxiliary cooler! A 2400 converter isn't that loose, but on a hot day in traffic you'll be glad you did. Heat kills an automatic transmission. Mount the cooler in front of the radiator in the airstream. Good luck!

I've been looking at the trans cooler kits and really don't care for the rubber hose and clamp connections. Is there one that has threaded, plumbed connections?
B&M, Flex-a-lite and TCI all make them. Most of them have -6AN fittings. You need to be pretty handy with a tubing bender and flaring tool, though. It's a time-consuming job to hand-fit cooler lines, but well worth it if you have the patience. Good luck!

Looks like a trip to the speed shop. The catalogs don't seem to have the plumbed type. I would always worry about the rubber lines.

I'll have to look again. I noticed the kits with the hose and clamps only. Maybe I should read more and look at the pictures less...
