I think it will get called out shortly. Nice looking car though.
I see several things I dont like. It will be interesting how it comes out. Looks like tag has been off and dash replaced to start with
Originally an L48. Window sticker and shipper's copy are repros.
Be aware both VIN and body tags have been removed and reinstalled.
Small block crossmember :)
The car looks pretty nice to me. The fact the VIN and data tag have been removed isn't a deal breaker if done so to restore the panels they are riveted to and weren't part of a rebody resto. Proof of the hidden VINs would be needed to confirm those two tags indeed belong to the car, and the POP matching that VIN is really the most valuable documentation to have after verifying the VIN does belong to that car.
I have not had a big block but didn't the big block crossmember move the drive train to one side? With a small block crossmember does that cause any weird problems?
My father restored this car in the early 90's. As Bill mentioned it was originally a L48/M20 car. Original diff. Pretty sure it was a 3.31 posi. Motor and trans long gone but was originally a manual car.
Photos before resto 1990. You can see the sb a/c. Also no paperwork or POP with the car at the time. Also paperwork I have show the car sold in Mar of '70 from Gene Merollis in Garden City and made its way to TN in '72 where it stayed through at least the mid 2000's.
Same car that was in the Motor Trend Musclecar Archives video from 1997.
Great you have the information. I commented on there a couple times.
As Bill stated, paperwork all repros
