Does anyone have any photos of the foam tape seals around the factory consule gauges for a 69 ?The consule gauge cover seals . Are the seals only on the sides or on the ends also ? The seal is 1/4 width by probably 1/16 thick . Thanks

The foam gasket, seal is about 1/8" thick and 9/32" wide. Currently looking to source the most accurate foam for the gasket. Anybody have any ideas for a source on material please post it. As an fyi the material is open cell and can compress more than 50% of its thickness.

The foam I can find is closed cell . Almost positive its a 1/4 wide . Any idea were to purchase open cell ? Also I see a blue gauge cover isnt green correct ? thanks
I am in the same boat with my "Spare" cluster set.
Note the glue side residue of the foam that is entirely missing.

Well, I took the 68Z for a long drive with friends today out to Bainbridge Island, Was a great drive, Noticed when driving in the Shade of Tall fir trees, I popped on the Dash lights and WOW the console gages "Leak" light around the perimeter of the lens upper housing Right where the Foam would be. So I was thinking that the foam might just serve a dual purpose. Noise or rattle mitigation and gage light bulb dash light activated light leaks.
Just a thought.
