Title: 1968 302 MO Engine 18L336199 - MacNeish Certified
Post by: SandSStClaire on August 19, 2026, 12:17:50 PM
I found a 1968 302 MO engine with partial VIN 18L336192. Jerry MacNeish has inspected and certified the engine as authentic. I am trying to locate the original Camaro, which I believe may be VIN 124378L336199, Assembly stamp V0321MO, Block casting 3914678.

What is the block casting date?

Is it just a bare block?

The block casting date is March 13, 1968

The partial vin number was a misprint. It should be 18L336199.

No it's not just the block. I have the crank pistons and rods, and also a set of camel hump heads with the correct casting number but the date code is off a couple months.

You are correct Joe, we just caught that.  Thank you.
