Title: Steering Column Wedge Installation
Post by: 68rs327conv on July 25, 2026, 10:14:44 PM
When my car was in the body shop, we forgot to install the steering column wedge.  My question is with the column installed at the rag joint and fire wall, is there enough clearance to drop the column just enough to install the wedge without disconnecting the rag joint or the seal at the firewall?

I think YES, I had to Re-drop mine for Gage cluster install and everything below was still attached.

I agree. You should be able to fit it in there.

For a 68, refer to AIM UPC 9, sheet A6 for instructions.
