Title: 1968 Camaro Z/28 on eBay
Post by: dannystarr on June 28, 2026, 07:59:16 PM
That's a pretty hefty price for a car with the original engine AND trans missing. Nice complete car already restored and ready to roll. A few other issues include WP bypass MIA, '69 style front spoiler, underside cross plate where everyone jacks it up is SMASHED in quite a bit. They say 25 to 35% for NOM. Lets go on the low end and say 25%. And another 10 to 15% for the trans. We'll put it at 10%. Puts it at about $84,175. That seems about right.

And we don't know about the 5 wheels. That's a big investment if incorrect.

It's just like BAT. You have to practically beg for the other CHP report sheets.
I also noticed a weird hose shape from the air cleaner to the valve cover. Nice car if you just want to cruise and be able to wind it up without being scared of throwing a rod out the side of the block. I see it did say there was 5 DF rally's included. Just have to check the date.

Would there be a lack of cooling with no WP bypass? Or would the system be ok.

Re. the Bypass; Who's to say What that intake (Manifold) is even? & thus the lack of the proper bypass configuration- If you study this entire Car it really has many-many Major things wonky in my mind- I believe we are able to discuss this since the vehicle is "On the Market" I don't want to be a nit picker and discuss iaw crg.

The PCV Air cleaner hose is currently using a straight fitting vice the proper 90 degree valve cover elbow, so it might be what you are referring to?

It is my contention Mr. Mark at House of Hardware is just using his eBay ad to generate interest and sell via his dealership or he will drag it to a auction for bidding action.
