Title: First Gen Standard Camaro (firebird) seat upholstery
Post by: Lesgarth on June 14, 2026, 12:06:28 PM
What years and options determine having vertical or horizontal 'stitching" on the standard seat upholstery?
Thought that 1967 had vertical and 1968/1969 had horizontal w/ 1968/1969 Firebird having horizontal w/ and additional vertical "stitch" centered.
Then found the 1967 Camaro sales brochure showing both.

Sales brochures weren't always accurate with what they showed.

The first seat shown is a Firebird. Once you're familair with 'Birds and Camaros, the difference is obvious. Many people list them for sale incorrectly. They share similar frames so people post them as applying to both cars.

^^ Ah, Don't judge a frame by it cover,,,,,,,,,,

You can tell the Make, The Camaro frame is always rusty'er

Well in examining Upholstery you must also consider Standard vs deluxe for each year also.
