Title: 1969 YH Rally Wheel Date Code Variations
Post by: Lesgarth on April 19, 2026, 02:27:50 PM
I know alot has been posted RE: Early and late 1969 Rally Rims.
The nomenclature decoding is pretty clear.
This post is to discuss the apparent variations in font, font placement, spacing etc.
Some examples show dashes between characters and some do not.
Alignment of font sections vary.
Some examples have a different font style.
Some examples have the top of the nomenclature line towards the outer part of the rim and some have the top of the nomenclature line towards the center of the rim.
We're there this many variances from the same plant? or are there alot of incorrect restamped rims out ther

The top stamp is a fake. They didn't start the YH until Dec 68.

Agreed
And I believe that the only 2 correct dates in Dec 1968 were 17 or 18.
Answers the upside-down question too.
