Title: 1969 Camaro Rocker chrome molding
Post by: hdptsr on April 12, 2026, 01:16:46 AM
I was wondering if anyone can help me with the rocker molding retainer.  It is shorter than the molding itself.  Does the retainer cross the front fender? Or does it start on the rear quarter panel?  Any pics would be helpful.

It does not cross the fender line.  Fender gets a screw.

Reference the 1969 Camaro Assembly Instruction Manual. Link is on this site under General Discussion.

Section 1, Page C1.

I did look at the Camaro Assembly manual, just not real clear from the diagram.

I just pulled the moldings off my car (not the yellow one) yesterday. I'll post a picture and measurements for you tomorrow, Tuesday.
