Title: Oval floor plugs

I search a little to find the answer but nothing positive. Were the oval floor plugs bare steel or galvanized or ? Thank you, Joe

Joe, all the original ones I have seen have been galvanized.

I found it VERY difficult to find a source for a "Restoration" finish matching the Galv appearance, So I resorted to Brite Zone as an acceptable alternative. Also seen them both Stamped and unstamped w/ date

And they are installed dome up, not down like many cars that roll into my shop.

Original cars have been observed with both dome up and dome down.

Of the four 67's and one 69 that I have owned, all the "domes" were down. All LOS cars FWIW.
