Title: Correct 69 Z/28 Shift Knob for console cars
Post by: 69RALLYSPORTZ28 on March 07, 2026, 08:47:05 PM
Is the original 69 Z/28 Shift Knob for cars with a console, a zinc die-cast that was then chrome plated?
Anyone recently had a plating shop restore their knob to back to as new condition?

Had mine chromed less than a year ago along with the handle in WI. Think it cost around $150 to $200. Both came out perfect, was afraid there might be flat spots or signs of rechroming but there wasn't any. They were adament that they used triple plating process.
