Post by: CantRepeat on March 03, 2026, 09:23:59 AM
Good day!

Just wondering if this WT stamping looks original.

Based on the originals I've seen, that stamp font looks too large, and especially too wide. My 2 cents.

See the one in this old thread

Looks to me like the pad was machined again and is too deep. The font is a bit off too. You can see a faint half moon where the mill took a partial pass at it

Looks like the master cylinder that sold recently on eBay:

That is the one. I should have asked before I purchased it.

But to the sellers credit he did kind of eluded to it being a restamp; just not in so many words. I didn't read this part of the description before I bought it.

Quote* Fully Restored OEM GM 1967 1968 Camaro SS Disc Brake Master Cylinder with the Date Correct WT Stamp, INcludes a set of master cylinder lines a few OEM prop valves and some bolts. Cylinder top cover is an aftermarket replacement but the cylinder is all original

Date Correct WT Stamp

Thanks for the help everyone.

This is from a CRG post I found for reference if you decide to look for another.

CRG only lists code WT for the master cylinder with casting number 5460346:
