Title: Rare VIN Numbers
Post by: Chevrolet_USA_1 on February 05, 2026, 02:14:25 PM
I have a fairly low number VIN 1969 coupe. Like we all have heard of the gold 67' being VIN #1....is anyone intrigued by "special vins"? How high do you go? car number 1-1000? number 1967 1968 or 1969? maybe car number 427 or car number 302? numerology has always sort of been a thing with these cars given the x-codes matching number etc..where do you draw the line? is there a unique collectiability/sentiment that this adds to the cars?

What do you consider as "fairly low"?

Honestly there isn't anything special about a VIN except to identify the car.

I agree. Maybe the first car will be held as something "special", but after that they are just another car.

From an enthusiasts perspective that seems awfully careless...guess ill be the only one to appreciate such fine details...😎....you know there is VIN #1 on 67s, 8s, and 9s....and they were all born twins!

Question makes no sense. When you think of it all vins are very rare and equally rare. Every Vin is a one of one !!!!!!!!!!

Low VIN cars are at the beginning of production - they tend to be lower options and low-po cars.
I've seen some interesting numbers.
Stuff like 7L123456 and 9N599995 and 9N606060. They don't skip VIN's so there's always some fun combos.

I don't think I have read this before, but is the last 69 camaro known?

9N711922 is the last VIN. 9N711910 is the last known car - probably are later cars.

I've always been partial to VIN# with several consecutive zeros.  Doesn't make them more valuable or option loaded but at least they're easy to remember.  I previously had 8N300200, an O8C build and currently have 9N700017 built 10C.

In my opinion, rare VINs are the ones on rare cars.  ;)
