Were the lower fan shroud clips attached to the radiator before the radiator was painted ?Or installed after paint and have a phosphate type finish ? thanks

1969 V8
AIM UPC 11/13  B4 Sheet 147

CLIP R.H. & L.H.
Piece Number #8
Part Number 3899880-1

My thought process on this is Since these clips are sourced on the Chevy Install side of the House (i.e. -vs- the Harrison Radiator supplier) these clip would NOT have been on the Rad during the Glassy Black Harrison Painting operations so therefor the clips were likely Nat, or Phos.

For Example the Overflow Hose Lower clip is Not installed by Chev and was a subcomponent of the Rad and thus installed by Harrison and WAS on the Rad during Paint Operations & would be Painted.

I agree - it's in the AIM so they were installed by Chevrolet after paint.
